Owning and using a firearm is NOT rocket science! The safety and use concepts are very simple to understand and apply, but MUST be learned AND practiced. We are safe, patient, professional educators. We guarentee a fun, enjoyable training experience. This course is perfect for beginners, young people (age 12 & up) and anyone with the desire to learn how to use a handgun safely. If you have a handgun in your home or plan to get a concealed carry permit, our course is an investment in your safety!

Our classes have NRA Certified Instructors, and an NRA Certified Range Safety Officer conducting the course. Your SAFETY & comfort are our #1 concern!

Indy Gun Safety offers the National Rifle Association's Basic Pistol Course. Participants will be issued an NRA certificate upon successful completion of the objectives. We accept students ages 12 to 112! You DO NOT have to be an NRA member to take the course!

Our course includes: A 10 hour course of instruction. -- At least 8 hours of classroom instruction. -- At least 2 hours on the firing range with certified instruction in live firing. Participants learn to name, explain and demonstrate the rules for safe handling of a handgun and proper storage practices for handguns and ammunition. Demonstrate and explain how to handle ammunition in a safe manner. Demonstrate the knowledge, skills and ATTITUDE necessary to shoot a handgun in a safe manner. Gun handling training. Selection of a firearm that's right for you. Private, 1 on 1 training available on request. (We can come to your home!) Public class $100 per person. Private class $350 for 1 or 2 students!
