I am happy to announce
the addition of Patrick Johnson, an old friend, musician, & song
writer from Los Angeles to our development lineup! Pat wrote his
first song
for me at the age of 15. He has spent the last 16 years in LA
working with bands on the local scene there. Pat and I have
decided to try and adopt a few local bands, manage and market them, and
see where it goes from there. Both Patrick and I have careers. Patrick is a successful sales and marketing executive. I am a commercial pilot and play in my own band part time. That means this project is a hobby for us. There are some good things and bad things about that. First of all, I am not in this to get rich. I am not concerned about making money, although having clients that become good enough to at least take the edge off of my investment would certainly be a plus. So my fees will be reasonable. You make money, I make money. You don't, I don't. It's that simple. So up front you get the advantage of having a manager/booking agent along with a sound/lighting technician and all the PA and lighting equipment you need for live production! And just for fun, recording time in my studio! Combining Pat's sales, marketing, and musical skills with my audio engineering and musical skills creates a powerful synergy. Imagine decades of musical endeavors working together to make your band and each musician in it, better and more valuable. Our LA connections are not huge, but they certainly won't hurt! Both of us still have musician and production friends there. Several from our childood! What other local manager can offer you this type of experience and expertise IN THE SAME PRICE RANGE? It's true, you get what you pay for. If you can afford to hire a manager and marketting firm, by all means pass us by. If you're tired of playing in your garage, then you need us! Both of us have gone through spending our younger years trying to make bands work. We have been through the arguments, the break-ups, creative differences and dead end gigs. We have been there! We know what you are going through. We can't make it pain free, but we can certainly help you get through it. Give us a call and let's see if we can give you a little jump start! So why are we doing this? BECAUSE WE CAN! We both would have given anything for a chance like this when we were in high school. We have no hidden agenda. We just both think it would be cool if we could springboard some young people in the music industry as a way of giving back. But don't be fooled by our generosity. It's our way or the highway! We will not be taken advantage of, so please don't even try! Just for fun, here is a link to the first song Pat and I ever did together. It's a hilarious throw back to 80's metal. We were both 15 and guitarist Andrew Gnasso was 14. The words represent the stereotype that was cast on metal music by our parents. It's a humorous parody about the certain death and destruction that awaited us as teenagers if we listened to that kind of music. Give it a listen. This was our first studio production. If we can do this at age 15, imagine what we can do for you over 2 decades later! (Please keep in mind we laugh hysterically every time we listen to this, so it's okay if you do too, lol!)
